Oops! The Earth slipped on a banana peel!

OK, Yesterday there was a magnitude 4 quake right in the middle of
Puerto Rico, a magnitude 5 quake on Hispaniola and maybe that's the last of it? I would hope that things just fade away with a few smaller aftershocks. Carribean architecture is anything but quakeproof. Link

In Dallas there is nothing happening except rising tension. (I'm reminded of the chapter in "Venus on the Half Shell" where...never mind. This journal is still G rated and that is a PG or mildly R book.) Ms. TK and the kids are out swimming and I'm waiting patiently in the hotel room...6 more hours until the wedding starts, which means we've still got time to go out for Thai food before I have to get into my penguin suit.

Of course there might be something bigger somewhwere else as there are more than the usual number of little quakes this week on the CONUS. Link In addition to the usual ones up the west coast, the Rockies and the Jellystone National Park area there was a bit of rumbling in the Appalachians and near Memphis.

B. came up to my room looking worried and asked me what my plans were, (as if I had any plans at all except to keep breathing until I'm able to get out of the city again.) He is getting tense, even though the priest had him practice his lines 4 times during the rehearsals. Nice thing about marrying a musician is that S. can quietly prompt him if he gets confused.
